The BAULÉ cast elastomer processing machines incorporate design features for high accuracy casting of multicomponent polyurethane systems. The machines have multiple zone temperature controls, precision digital variable speed drives and automatic material back pressure regulation to provide accurate control of speed, temperature and pressure.

STATISTICAL PROCESS CONTROL

A statistical process control package is available that enables multiple formulation storage, on-screen display of processing conditions, and continuous recording of process working time and stoppage / faults during the day. The SPC package features data protection, simple calibration of all formulations, indication of quantities delivered, maintenance indications, automatic color selection (when equipped with a coloring system), indication of faulty or excess capacity, and a complete record of stoppages and faults.

FLOWMETERS

Mass flowmeters can be installed to provide permanent flow control for each component. These require a machine managed by a programmable logic control and a video window.

CONTINUOUS DISC DEGASSER

Continuous disc degassers are available. This very reliable equipment avoids long degassing phases which block the machine, as well as losses of NCO percentage, the product being constantly renewed. It features a vacuum pump, a heating platform and heating hoses.

COLORING SYSTEMS

The coloring system for Baulé machines allows liquid pigment to be sent directly to the mixing chamber during operation. Three lines are available permitting a choice among three colors and the natural color (without pigment). This option (along with the SPC package) allows color to be automatically assigned to each formulation.

MOCA FEEDING AND HEATING

Baulé equipment features a MOCA melter and feeder with a hopper or with a glove-box. Feeding is powered by either a 380V three-phase plus neutral motor or by dry air pneumatics.

MIXING HEADS

Baulé mixing heads are designed for high reliability and increased safety. An asynchronous motor-driven turbine allows the best possible mixing of the products without creating bubbles. The valves and the chamber can be quickly accessed for maintenance although it is not required on a regular basis.

Carousel

Thanks to their global expertise, BAULÉ can now propose turnkey units for medium to large production in cast polyurethane.

The systems can be composed of:

• A low-pressure machine dispensing the suitable formulation in a continuous or a shot by shot mode.
• A carousel with multiple cavity molds.
• A 3 axis positioning robot to move the mixhead.

 
One of the key aspects of these units is the perfect integration of the process parameters and the control of key functions thanks to a user-friendly man/machine interface.
When required, an even larger flexibility can be reached thanks to the mold recognition allowing to automatically adapt the right throughput, formulation and pattern.
