Fascinated by the potential of cast polyurethane, he entered into this industry by starting a moulding company. In the 80s, the company moved to the production of customised prepolymers and the manufacturing of dispensing machines representing today a unique combination of skills.

A meaningful alliance

In 2008, Michel Baulé S.A. (today EXIMIUM) and Bayer MaterialScience AG merged their respective cast elastomers businesses into a joint venture named Baulé with headquarters in Romans, France. Effective April 1, 2012, Bayer MaterialScience acquired the remaining shares in the 50:50 systems house joint venture Baulé SAS from EXIMIUM SAS and other shareholders.

The complete acquisition of Baulé SAS enables Bayer MaterialScience to expand its potential for cast elastomers while also providing an even greater access to this attractive market.

This also emphasizes Bayer MaterialScience´s strategic orientation on growth markets.
